One Day Manga Drawing Experience Course for Foreign Tourists Visiting Japan

Nihon Mangajuku, known as a professional manga school and its great achievements, will start a new program in 2018 called, “One Day Manga Drawing Experience Course” which is the collaborated project of Mangajuku and “pop-cul.jp,” introducing Japanese pop-culture overseas.

This new course is created for short time tourists who are interested in drawing manga. The participants in the course are able to take lessons in English and to learn the important points and methods of drawing manga in one day!

Nihon Manga Juku

An institute dedicated to the study of manga opened 18 years ago with 22 published authors and 40 who made their debut as manga authors.
With the preparation provided by this manga package, you will learn the techniques of how to become a manga author/comic illustrator in the shortest amount of time.

11:00 AM ～18:30 PM (7.5 Hours of Experience Program)

  1. 1 Points of Drawing Manga：Japanese Manga History and Cultural Lecture
  2. Panel Layout / How to make “Naming/Name”
  3. Inking / Creating a Character
(↑Content might be changed in terms of each participant’s learning level.)

GOAL is to make a one page manga in a day.

About Finished Works

Finished work is passed with a picture frame to the creators and all the digital data of the works and scan data of them are saved at Mangajuku in the end of the program. There are some possibilities that one’s work is shown at the website, and in this case, we are going to ask the participant to get previous permission.
